Do I Have to Talk About It? Answering the Questions People Ask Most
Before booking a session, most people have questions. These are the most common ones — answered honestly, based on how MEM actually works.
Do I have to describe what happened to me?
No. You are not required to disclose personal information, explain your history, or describe any event from your past. The process works with how something makes you feel, not with the story around it. This is one of MEM’s defining features.
About Reliving the Past
Will I have to relive painful memories?
No. MEM does not require you to re-enter or re-experience traumatic events. The session focuses on the feeling and the identity connected to it — not on the memory itself. Many people choose MEM specifically because they want a process that does not ask them to go back through it again.
About Effectiveness
Can MEM really work without talking about my problems?
Yes — and for many people, it works precisely because they do not have to talk about it. The approach operates at the level of cause rather than content. The emotional charge that has been stored can be addressed directly without a detailed account of how it got there.
Common Misconceptions
Is MEM a form of hypnosis?
No. You remain fully conscious and aware throughout the session. There is no trance state, no suggestions implanted by the practitioner, and no loss of awareness or control at any point.
Timing
How many sessions will I need?
Many people experience meaningful change in a single session. Some issues — particularly those with multiple layers — may benefit from two or three sessions. Once a Negative Identity is dis-created, it does not return. Sessions are available in person or remotely by phone or video call.
Medical Questions
Is MEM a replacement for medical or psychiatric care?
No. MEM does not diagnose or treat medical or psychiatric conditions, and it does not claim to cure anything. It addresses the emotional and energetic patterns underlying unwanted feelings. For any medical or psychiatric concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Verifying Your Practitioner
How do I know if my practitioner is legitimate?
The Causism Institute maintains an active, up-to-date directory of licensed MEM Practitioners at causisminstitute.com. Licensed practitioners display the MEM™ symbol and carry Causism Institute membership badges. If someone is not listed in that directory, they are not a licensed MEM Practitioner.
